Sheelagh and Mark Celebrated Their Connection and Now Feel Even Closer

Sheelagh and Mark wanted to celebrate their relationship after 12 years together with a Couple’s Boudoir Photoshoot. After two solo photoshoots with us, Sheelagh was pretty experience and relaxed, but for Mark this was a whole new experience. Their photoshoot put to rest any insecurities they had about their compatibility or the age gap in their relationship, it demonstrated just how beautifully they fit together.

Sheelagh - I booked my first Boudoir photoshoot as a wedding present for Mark in 2023. He absolutely loved it and was saying it would be great if we could do a couples one. When I saw that Foxlow started doing them I was excited to tell Mark who immediately jumped at the chance!

Mark - I was so impressed with the quality of the pictures, the sensitivity with which Foxlow dealt with Sheelagh’s photoshoot and with how fabulous she looked that I wanted to share the experience with her.

Sheelagh - I’ve always battled with my body image and self confidence. When I turned 30 I decided to make a New Year’s resolution to learn to love myself. When I happened to come across a video of Foxlow on TikTok and saw how close they were, I knew it was a sign to do something completely out of my comfort zone, help build my confidence and a chance to see for myself what Mark sees in me.

Mark - I have never been a fan of my body image, I have always felt that I am average at best but it hasn’t knocked my confidence because it was never really something I was hung up on. However, there is quite an age gap between Sheelagh and I, when I met her that’s when I started to wonder what on earth she sees in me. Our couples shoot  firmly put that fear to rest because it was so obvious how well we work and ‘fit’ together. It was beautiful.

Sheelagh - I found it quite easy preparing as this was my 3rd time doing a shoot with Foxlow, so I knew what ideas I wanted us to showcase as a couple (such as both of us being into Rock music) and that Danielle would be able to help with suggestions too, like a suit being lingerie for men!

Mark - For me the process was quite exciting and a chance to share something special with Sheelagh because I really had no idea what to wear or how to look so Sheelagh took control with her creative ideas and I was very happy for her to take the lead!

Mark - I expected to be nervous and apprehensive but surprisingly I wasn’t at all, I was quite relaxed and unfazed by it, partly because Sheelagh knew exactly what she was doing and I was so excited to be a part of it with her, and  also because Danielle and John were so professional. They put you at ease without you even knowing they’re doing it! 

Sheelagh - As soon as we arrived it was lovely and chilled having a drink and chat, showing them what outfits/props we brought. While I was having my makeup and hair done by Danielle, Jon was busy planning and prepping which outfits and area we would be photographed in the studio. They are both brilliant in explaining every step of the process, showing you how to get into the poses and making sure we were comfortable throughout, to the point where you forget you’re not wearing much.

Mark - After the shoot Sheelagh and I went for lunch whilst the photos were being edited. It was the perfect end to a very different and exhilarating day. I felt immensely proud of Sheelagh and as if I had connected with her on a different level. 

Sheelagh - I was almost sad it was over as it felt like it went by so quickly! It was fabulous being able to do something so intimate, special and different with Mark.

Mark - I was hugely impressed when I first saw the photos. I knew the quality was going to be excellent because I had seen Sheelagh’s previous shoots but I was still a little apprehensive that she would look like a rose next to a gnarly old thorn bush! I wasn’t prepared for how sensitively intimate and beautiful they were. I found the first viewing very moving, - they were fabulous.

Sheelagh - I was so ecstatic, almost giddy! I love the way our connection and love for each other came across.

We didn’t think it would be possible after a decade of being together, but we somehow feel even closer, and we both feel that the photoshoots have had a positive effect on our relationship.
