Weight-loss Surgery Transformed Felicity’s Figure, but Boudoir Built Her Confidence.

Felicity transformed her body with weight-loss surgery, but that didn’t bring her the confidence she’d hoped for. It was the boudoir photoshoot she’d always wanted that finally changed the way she saw herself and brought her the happiness she deserves.

When I was younger I was very confident and loved how I looked.

When I turned 30 I’d gone up 2 dress sizes and swore things would change! However, they didn’t. By the time I turned 39 I was a size 22 and I hated how I looked and felt. I’d tried every diet and nothing worked, so for my 40th I had weight-loss surgery and went on to lose 6.5 stone. I still wasn’t happy though as I had a lot of excess skin, so I went on to have a tummy tuck and finally started to wear the clothes I wanted to... but I didn’t feel the confidence I wanted to.

I’d always wanted to do a boudoir shoot but never got round to it. A TikTok link to one of Foxlow’s photoshoots was uploaded into a WhatsApp group I was in, so I had a look and I absolutely loved what I saw and how much they focused on the person and building their confidence.

Danielle was amazing at helping me prepare for the shoot. Alongside the magazine and style guide that came in the post, she sent me links to places to shop for underwear as I didn’t have a clue where to look.

I was so nervous before the photoshoot as it was totally out of my comfort zone, but the minute I stepped through the door I was made to feel so welcome that my nerves and anxiety were gone and I couldn't wait to get started.

My hair and makeup were stunning - to have both done by Danielle and be made to feel so beautiful was the best feeling.

I was guided every step of the way during the photoshoot, which made the whole process such a pleasure. Honestly I felt on top of the world the entire time I was there and afterwards!

I was on cloud nine when I went for lunch and a coffee, I couldn’t stop smiling with the excitement of seeing the photos too. I was skipping around with a huge smile on my face.

My viewing was one of the most incredible moments of my life. I never thought I would be blown away by photos of myself, but I really was. I looked stunning and the poses were like what you see models doing! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, yet it was also me!

It’s been a year since my boudoir shoot and I’m definitely more confident now. I wear what I want and am happy with how I look.

The photos actually came up on my Instagram the other day, and again I was blown away with how amazing I looked and remembering the day. It was without a doubt one of the most incredible experiences ever.
